Mark V Tank Low Centre of Gravity Rhomboid Vehicle

The Mark IV was a British tank of the First World War. Introduced in 1917, it benefited from significant developments on the first British tank, the intervening designs being small batches used for training. The major improvements were in armour, the re-siting of the fuel tank, and easier transportation.Mark V Tank :

The Mark V tank was a rhomboid vehicle with a low centre of gravity and long track length, able to negotiate broken ground and cross trenches. Main armament was carried in sponsors on the hull sides. The British Mark V tank was an upgraded version of the Mark IV tank, deployed in 1918 and used in action in the closing months of World War I.

SNECMA Coléoptère :

The SNECMA Coléoptère meaning “beetle” in French, was a VTOL aircraft developed by the French company SNECMA in the 1950s. It was a single-person aircraft with an annular wing designed to land vertically, therefore requiring no runway and very little space to take-off. There were several prototypes developed and tested, however the design proved to be very unstable and flying it was dangerous.

Roland TR808 Analog Rhythm Machine By The Roland Corporation

The Roland TR808 Rhythm Composer (a.k.a. the “808”) was one of the first programmable drum machines (“TR” serving as an initial ism for Transistor Rhythm). Introduced by the Roland Corporation in early 1980, it was originally manufactured for use as a tool for studio musicians to create demos. Like earlier Roland drum machines, it does not sound very much like a real drum kit.  The TR-808 cost US$1,195 upon its release. Drum machines in general became an integral part of hip hop music as a cheap and simple way of producing a drum sound.

The Tsar Tank , also known as the Netopyr’ which stands for pipistrellus (a genus of bat), was an unusual Russian armoured vehicle developed by Nikolai Lebedenko, Nikolai Zhukovsky , Boris Stechkin , and Alexander Mikulin from 1914 on-wards. The Tsar Tank project was scrapped after initial tests deemed the vehicle to be under-powered and vulnerable to artillery fire.
